Pope John Paul Peace Home, a voluntary and charitable organization for differently-abled persons, who are profoundly mentally challenged, is situated at Peringandoor village on the way to Shornur, 13kms to the north from Thrissur town, Kerala State. This care home which is run by the Archdiocese of Thrissur provides eternal solace of love, hope and support for all the differently-able persons.
The organization Pope John Paul Peace Home was started on 7th February, 1986, as the memento of His Holiness Pope John Paul II’s, visit to India, especially to the Archdiocese of Thrissur in Kerala. It was the ardent desire & dream of our Late Archbishop Mar Joseph Kundukulam, who is also known as “the Father of the Poor”. Msgr. Joseph Vilangaden was the founder director who worked hard for the realization of the project. The Society of Nirmaladasi Sisters are rendering a great service towards these innocent lives in Peace Home.
